Women’s Golf wrap up at Yale Intercollegiate

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The UTSA women’s golf team turned in a final round 322 on the final day of the Yale Intercollegiate and finished in sixth place.

The Roadrunners were led by freshman Janine Fellows, who began the day tied 34th, but carded an 82-78=160, to finish tied for 18th. Sophomore Shelly Martinez ended her day tied for 23rd after shooting a 75-86=161.

Meanwhile, junior Laura Baker finished five strokes behind Fellows with a two-day total 165 and was tied for 37th.

Freshman Summer Batiste posted an 88-80=168 in her first collegiate tournament. Also in action was sophomore Madison McClain, who finished in 75th.

UTSA returns to action next weekend at the Hawk Invitational on Oct. 6-7 in Iowa City, Iowa.
