In the Roadrunners’ final two games of the season, they split both matches against I-35 rival Texas State and UT-Arlington, ending their season with an overall record of 19-11; which is better than last year’s finish of 13-21. In conference play, the Runners finished 11-5 and hold the No.3 seed heading into the Southland Conference (SLC) Tournament.

In Thursday night’s match up at Texas State, the Bobcats swept the Runners in three sets (25-15, 25-16, 25-17). Sophomore Kendra Rowland had 14 kills and 10 digs for UTSA and sophomore Briana Mason added nine. Freshman Amber Brooks dished out 21 assists, while defensively the Runners had one block the entire game.

The Runners turned things around defeating UT-Arlington in four sets (25-20, 25-22, 19-25, 25-21). The Runners had an all-around effort on both sides of the court. UTSA had four players in double-figures in kills: Rowland with 13 kills, Mason with 10, freshman Elise Huskey had 11 kills and junior Stefanie Robbins with 20 kills. On the defensive side, the Runners had a trio of players in double-figures in digs: senior Audrey Hiser had13 digs and Huskey 12 digs and Kelsey Jewasko with 18 digs.

Match 2: No. 2 Lamar (14-11) vs. No. 7 Nicholls (9-17) , 1:30 p.m.

Match 3: No. 1 Texas State (21-13) vs. Northwestern State (10-16), 4 p.m.

Match 4: No. 4 Stephen F. Austin (20-8) vs. No. 5 Sam Houston State (14-18), 6:30 p.m.

Semifinals – Saturday, Nov. 22:

Match 5: Match 1 winner vs. Match 2 winner, 1 p.m.

Match 6: Match 3 winner vs. Match 4 winner, 4 p.m.

Championship – Sunday, Nov. 23:

Match 7: Semifinals winners, 2 p.m.
