For the next 14 issues I will be in charge of keeping you informed on our athletic program.  As the title of this column suggests, the sports section will be an ever changing part of the whole that makes The Paisano your favorite on-campus publication.

It is a great time to be a Roadrunner.  We are only nine months away from the first football game.  In addition to the birth of football, our university boasts championship soccer and volleyball, exhilarating basketball and a lot more for your viewing pleasure.

The future of UTSA is very bright.  There is the promise that the new athletic complex at Hausman Road will bring.  Then there is the entry into the WAC only 18 months away.

There is so much going on, but I will do my best to make sure that your sports section covers as much as it can at UTSA.  If you feel that you want something covered, send me an email.

This new year brings the possibility of great things for UTSA and Paisano Sports will be right there to cover it.

This work in progress that is Paisano Sports will need your input.  If you don’t like something about the section send your suggestions to the sports email.  If you hear of anything you think we should cover let us know.

For your Health!
