Free Tickets

What is the deal with Football Tickets?

That is the question being asked all over campus.

The answer is that the tickets to football games will be free to students.

According to the UTSA ticket office, UTSA students enrolled in the fall of 2011 will get in free to all UTSA home football games. UTSA students will continue to get in free to all home UTSA Athletics events in every sport as they have in the past.

So the tickets are free for students just as they always have been.

But where will students sit?

There will be certain lower level sections designated to students. Only students and their guests will be allowed in these sections and students will not be allowed in other sections of the Alamodome.

While the tickets will be free, how to obtain them is still to be determined, as is the cost of guest tickets.

The process for students to gain entry to the Alamodome is also TBD. It’s possible that students may have to pick up an actual ticket prior to the game or they may just have to swipe their ID at the Alamodome. The students will be informed as soon as it’s determined. So there you have it. Football games will be like any other sporting event on campus: Free to Students. Hope to see you there.
