Fantasy Football: Pick Vick in week seven

Image

Hot Routes: These are the players you should start without second guessing yourself.

Quarterback:

Michael Vick/ Atlanta Falcons

Why:Vick is not known for his fantasy stats; Vick is averaging a feeble 121.4 ypg in passing. However, come Sunday versus the Jets, Vick’s fantasy reputation is about to head in a very positive direction. Look for Vick to score via an aerial or ground attack. Either way, Vick is going to have his biggest offensive performance of the season.

Running Back:

Curtis Martin/ New York Jets

Why: Last week Martin ran for 148 yards, and he looked healthy for the first time this season. Martin will continue to find his legs against the Atlanta Falcons defense. He’ll also put together his first back to back 100 yard games of the season.

Wide Receiver:

Jerry Porter/Oakland Raiders

Why: This pick is only good if Randy Moss is indeed not ready to go by Sunday. Currently Moss’ status is not known-he suffered a strained groin and a bruised hip after a nasty fall this past Sunday. So if Moss is not ready to go, give Porter the start.

Blitz: This is the player you should avoid starting.

Quarterback:

Trent Green/ Kansas City Chiefs

Why: Green will be facing an angry Miami Dolphins team that lost to their in-state rival, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Though the Dolphins have been lousy on the road, they have proved to be tough at home- they are undefeated at home. Even though their home record is only 2-0, Green will have his hands full with a tough Dolphins defense.
