Early Voting at UTSA

UTSA has recently been named an early voting site for the upcoming Nov. 2 elections. Early voting will take place Oct. 18-29 on the bottom floor of the University Center Phase III (1604 campus).

The Student Government Association at UTSA is organizing a large voter registration drive. An award will be given at our annual Spring University Life Awards to the student or student organization who registers the most students to vote. The rules of the contest are as follows:

  1. All voter registration forms must be turned in to the Student Government Office (UC III, next to the Subway) by or before Oct. 4.
  2. For a form to be valid, you must turn it in to us within 5 days of it being filled out.
  3. You may ask any SGA officer or our advisor, John Montoya for a receipt upon turning your registration form to the SGA office.
  4. No political candidate Paraphernalia may be displayed near your registration site.
  5. You must follow all other applicable University policies, as well as local, state and federal laws.

Student Government will keep track of all registration forms and will turn them in to the Bexar County Elections Office for you. Please feel free to contact our advisor, John Montoya at [email protected] if you have any questions. You may also contact me, your Student Body President at [email protected].

If you have not been deputized (a short process that enables you to register people to vote), you may do so by driving to the Bexar County Elections Department. The address is 203 W. Nueva st. San Antonio, Tx 78207. You can reach them at 210-335-VOTE.
