When UTSA students receive their census forms they will have the rare opportunity of ensuring that UTSA gets the federal funding it needs.

Assistant Director of Marketing and Communication Jared Jones said that it is important for students to fill out their census form.

“The census forms determine the number of people that live near UTSA that in turn determines the amount of federal funding,” Jones said.

Beginning Mid-March, the 2010 Census will be mailed to local residents.

UTSA presents the Census Kickoff Party in the Paseo on Feb. 19.

The party will include: a census national tour van, music, media, and a presentation by Dr. Romo.
